I have had the pleasure to hunt behind the Melon Ranch Hounds on several occasions. Dan and Joe have done a great job of carrying on their fathers line of Running Walkers. The dogs are tough and handle the heat and humidity of S. Texas like I couldn't believe. They drift out good when looking for a track and open good when they find one. The races are loud and fast and can last for 30 minutes to an hour on average. I was impressed with their ability to catch multiple cats on a hunt in the heat and humidity. The dogs handle good and are always doing what they are suppose to be doing,they are fun to hunt.
